Your 30s can be the most empowering decade of your life—if you play it right. You’ve outgrown people-pleasing, and you’re building a life that reflects your values. Whether it’s in career, wellness, or personal growth, these 10 power moves will keep you leveling up.

1. Negotiate Everything

From salaries to boundaries—your time, energy, and talent are valuable. Start asking for what you deserve.

2. Start or Solidify Your Emergency Fund

Financial freedom is real power. Aim for 3–6 months of expenses saved, and don’t touch it unless it’s urgent.

3. Prioritize Sleep Like a Queen

You can’t glow, grow, or grind if you’re running on fumes. Sleep is a non-negotiable power tool.

4. Build a Personal Board of Advisors

Surround yourself with mentors, honest friends, and growth-minded women who challenge and cheer for you.

5. Say No More Often

Your “yes” should be rare and intentional. Protect your peace like it’s private property.

6. Invest in Yourself

Take the course, get the certification, upgrade your wardrobe—investing in you is never wasted.

7. Own Your Story

The mess, the magic, the mistakes. The more you own your story, the less power it has over you—and the more it can inspire others.

8. Get Comfortable with Being Uncomfortable

Growth rarely comes in your comfort zone. Say yes to the scary-but-right opportunities.

9. Ruthlessly Edit Your Circle

Energy-drainers, gossipers, and chronic complainers? You’re too grown for that. Choose high-vibe company.

10. Define Success for Yourself

Forget society’s checklist. What you want matters more. Redefine success on your terms and chase that.

Versatile and accomplished, Adelina Zhiyanski is often described as a Jack of All Trades. Over the past five years, her journey in Politics and National Security has been dynamic and impactful. While pursuing studies at both Sofia University and the Military Academy in Bulgaria, Adelina aimed to extend her influence globally. This ambition led to her becoming the president of a renowned European Youth Organization, where she delivered speeches at the United Nations in Geneva—pivotal moments in her quest to be an impactful leader.

Adelina’s pursuits are not confined to politics alone. She has nurtured her artistic soul, showcasing her Ferrari car photography at the prestigious Ferrari showroom. Currently, Adelina contributes her skills to a prominent company in the UK and works as a real estate broker. In parallel, she has founded her own company, Anoble Swire, which is dedicated to personal assistance and concierge services. This diverse spectrum of experiences reflects Adelina’s commitment to excellence across various domains.

1. Your journey spans across politics, national security, academia, and entrepreneurship. How do you balance such diverse interests and pursuits?

I have always been passionate about multilayered and interdisciplinary knowledge. For me, it’s all about prioritizing my time effectively. When I engage in a task, I give it my undivided attention, avoiding distractions to maintain full control and focus. Most of all- I never really stress. That’s how I successfully balance all these aspects of my life, meeting deadlines and ensuring success 99% of the time.

2. As the president of a prominent European Youth Organization, what were some of the most impactful initiatives you spearheaded during your tenure?

My journey in European politics began long ago, initially on the European stage before shifting my focus to the national level. As president of a European NGO, I made a significant impact through various youth-focused projects. From producing podcasts and interviews with successful professionals in diverse fields to participating in the “Our Food, Our Future” project, I aimed to empower young people to drive change. These initiatives helped reshape perspectives on food and emphasized the importance of environmental sustainability.

3. You’ve delivered speeches at the United Nations in Geneva. Could you share a memorable moment or experience from that platform?

This moment likely marks the peak of my journey in European politics, with each part of it being truly memorable. One interesting aspect of the United Nations is that every speech must be reviewed before being presented to all the delegates. During my speeches, I advocated for sustainability and emphasized the importance of interconnectedness and valuing what we have before it’s too late. Much like in life, we must cherish every moment and seize every opportunity before it’s gone.

4. Your artistic side shines through your Ferrari car photography exhibition. What draws you to automotive photography, and how does it complement your other endeavors?

It all began when I was a child, as my father was the director of Auto Italy. Instead of playing with dolls, I played with toy cars, and the automotive industry became a significant part of my life. My passion for it has remained ever since. Last year, I was inspired to exhibit my photographs at the Ferrari Showroom. Ferrari, being pure art, deserved this showcase, and it was a great success. For my father and me, it was a way to honor cherished childhood memories, for which I am extremely grateful.

5. Transitioning from academia to real estate brokerage and entrepreneurship is quite a leap. What inspired you to venture into these fields, and how do they align with your long-term goals?

Interestingly, there was no gradual transition. I chose to add these two pursuits to my life because I saw great potential in both. In brokerage, the appeal lay in its dynamic nature and the opportunities it offered for strategic growth and networking. Throughout my journey, I’ve had many mentors, all of whom, including my father, were entrepreneurs. Inspired by their drive and vision, I always aspired to do something impactful, to manage effectively, and to improve lives. This aspiration led me to create Anoble Swire, a personal assistance company dedicated to providing top-tier support and enhancing the quality of life for our clients. Because it’s all about understanding Life and having someone you trust to manage it.

6. Could you tell us more about your company, Anoble Swire, and the vision behind it? How do personal assistance and concierge services tie into your broader professional journey?

Absolutely. Anoble Swire is more than just a personal assistance and concierge service, it’s a manifestation of my commitment to excellence and my desire to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives. The vision is to redefine the concept of personal assistance by providing tailored, high-quality support that empowers our clients to live their lives to the fullest. In today’s fast-paced world, time is everything and without good management – it’s impossible to succeed.

After working with the most successful entrepreneurs, I saw a common denominator- they did not have enough time to manage all aspects of their lives. Drawing from my background in entrepreneurship, I have instilled a culture of innovation, efficiency, and client-centricity within the company. My experiences in various industries have equipped me with a diverse skill set and a deep understanding of the importance of personalized solutions.

In essence, Anoble Swire is the culmination of an idea that was held for a long time—a testament to my dedication to service, innovation, and making a positive impact in the lives of others. Because for me, time is the most valuable asset.

7. What challenges have you encountered while navigating such diverse career paths, and how have you overcome them?

I refrain from calling them challenges. Instead, I see them as opportunities. These moments in life reveal our true desires and test our willingness to invest effort and energy without losing faith. In my journey, I’ve encountered numerous opportunities. It’s crucial to select our battles wisely. Sometimes, certain endeavors aren’t worth our time and energy, while others are worth every ounce of dedication. Overcoming temporary setbacks requires viewing them as character-building experiences, valuable lessons that ultimately contribute to personal growth and improvement.

8. With your background in politics and national security, how do you envision leveraging your expertise to influence positive change in the world?

Understanding the intricate interplay between politics and national security is vital in navigating the complexities of our world. With rapid advancements in technology, shifting geopolitical landscapes, and emerging threats, staying well-educated in these areas is not just beneficial but absolutely necessary for effective decision-making and strategic planning in every aspect of life. It’s important to note it’s not only studying the history, it’s about continuously monitoring trends, analyzing potential risks, and anticipating future challenges. In that way, one can proactively address global issues and work towards fostering stability, security, and progress on a personal scale and on a global one. It’s been 3 years since I have been into both fields and can say one thing- the future is unpredictable, but history has this tendency of repeating itself in different nuances. All we need to do is open our eyes and simply- think.

9. As someone who has studied at both Sofia University and the Military Academy in Bulgaria, how have your academic experiences shaped your worldview and approach to leadership?

It is a tough road, but surely a valuable one. Both politics and national security have proven to be invaluable realms of study, given their profound interconnectedness. Delving into these fields of academic exploration has not only expanded my knowledge but also transformed my perspective on various topics. Through rigorous academic engagement, I’ve gained a deeper understanding of the intricate dynamics shaping our world today and why events in the past took place in a specific way. Moreover, I’ve come to appreciate the critical importance of effective leadership and strategic thinking in addressing complex challenges and driving positive change. This journey has not only enriched my intellectual capabilities but has also instilled in me a sense of responsibility to contribute meaningfully to society through informed action and principled decision-making.

10. What advice would you give to young professionals aspiring to carve out a similarly multifaceted career path?

Time is not your adversary, it’s your ally, provided that you make every second count.

Dr. Sheila Nazarian is an Emmy Nominated, Board Certified Plastic Surgeon with a private practice in Beverly Hills. She has a Masters in Medical Management degree from the Marshall School of Business at USC. She also serves as Assistant Professor in Division of Plastic Surgery at the University of Southern California. She is the founder of Nazarian Plastic Surgery, Spa26, The Skin Spot e-commerce site, and the Nazarian Institute where she brings thought leaders to teach business owners in the luxury space to Think BIG – Branding, Innovation, Growth. Dr. Nazarian is the star of the Emmy Nominated Netflix Original Series, Skin Decision: Before and After. She is married to a neurosurgeon, Dr. Fardad Mobin, has three children. She also enjoys being an influencer in the digital space: @drsheilanazarian, @themodelsurgeon, @spa26.official, @theskinspotbeverlyhills, @thinkbig on Instagram and Nazarian Plastic Surgery on Facebook/YouTube.

1. Your journey is truly inspiring, from being an Emmy-nominated Board Certified Plastic Surgeon to an Assistant Professor at USC. How do you balance your clinical practice, teaching, and entrepreneurial ventures effectively?

Balance is always a challenge and I think what has worked for me is hiring the right staff who I can reliably delegate to.  My personal assistant at home helps with small personal and professional tasks and also picking up the kids from school. My COO helps execute overarching goals for the practice and my businesses. I do most of my teaching on social media, through podcasts, webinars and conferences. Since I am in charge of my own scheduling, these are things that I just have to block off time for. It is true that there aren’t enough hours in the day but we all just do our best.

2. With a background in both medical and business fields, how do you integrate your expertise in medical management with your passion for plastic surgery to create a unique patient experience?

I learned in business school that nothing has to be invented. It has all been done before… just in a different industry. I starting the Nazarian Institute and ThinkBIG! online to bring experts from other disciplines to talk about their learnings so that we don’t have to reinvent the wheel in the healthcare beauty space.

3. Your role extends beyond your private practice, as you’re also the founder of Spa26, The Skin Spot e-commerce site, and the Nazarian Institute. Could you share your vision behind each of these ventures and how they contribute to the luxury space?

Spa26 is my medical spa which we hope to expand into multiple locations. We have over 30 devices and access to all injectables which we use to rejuvenate as stand alone treatments or maintain and enhance the results of surgery. The Skin Spot is our curated, medical-grade ecommerce site so that everyone can benefit from our experience in the best of the best in beauty and wellness. The Nazarian Institute is my non-profit where we teach surgical, business, and branding skills to healthcare providers.

4. Being a thought leader, you’re known for advocating “Think BIG” – Branding, Innovation, Growth. How do you apply these principles to both your medical practice and your business ventures?

It is not enough to be an excellent surgeon anymore. If no one knows about you, you aren’t helping anyone. Branding is essential to every business, and healthcare is not an exception. Innovation is at the heart of plastic surgery. There are new techniques and devices all of the time. It is key to our industry to innovate and to stay on top of innovations, not just in the treatment forum, but also in the online forum. For example, right now, I am working with AI to see how it can improve the patient experience. Growth is so important personally.  If you are not growing in the way you think and experience things, you will not grow professionally. For example, so many physicians suffer from imposter syndrome. Or they won’t post educational content because their hair wasn’t perfect, or they said umm. We have to grow personally and not stand in our own success.

5. Your presence extends to the digital realm as well, with significant influence on various Instagram accounts and other platforms. How do you use social media to educate, engage, and inspire your audience about plastic surgery and wellness?

I am so grateful that people want to listen to what I have to say. Most of the time, I am not in agreement with everyone else and I am not afraid to share my thoughts on beauty, religion, or politics. I always say that my family didn’t escape Iran for me to be quiet.

6. As the star of the Emmy-nominated Netflix Original Series, “Skin Decision: Before and After,” you bring plastic surgery transformations to a wider audience. How has this platform changed the way people perceive aesthetic procedures?

I think the show gave a lot of people permission to get aesthetic procedures. My colleagues would tell me that their patients would come in and talk about how the show gave them the confidence to make that appointment.

7. One of your accomplishments includes developing an organic line of skincare products for pregnant and lactating women. How did your own experiences as a mother influence the creation of these products?

When I was in business school, this was my project. Since then, I have moved on to more active ingredients with NazarianSkin as I learned about what products would give the best results.

8. With your expertise in plastic surgery and your diverse background, how do you see the field evolving, particularly in terms of embracing inclusivity and catering to a wider range of patients?

I think darker skin types have been neglected for a long time. As a person of color, I know dark skin because I treat myself to all of this stuff and have been for 15 years. I also created NazarianSkin with darker skin tones in mind. In the future, I do see darker skin types being included in studies more. It is a hugely untapped market and the need is there.

9. Your dedication to mentorship and volunteer work is commendable. How do you balance these commitments with your busy practice, and what motivates you to continue investing in education and guidance for others?

I just look at my three children and I want to leave an accepting world behind for them. I do a lot of work to fight antisemitism and that started when I saw the statistic that over 50% of Jewish students on college campuses actively hide their Jewish identity. My eldest is only a couple years away from college now and I started my activism in a big way a few years ago. I want her to go to college and find spaces to share her thoughts without fear and to learn from others as well.

10. You’re married to a neurosurgeon and have three children, yet manage to maintain a remarkable professional trajectory. How do you navigate the demands of both your personal and professional life?

Family is the most important and always comes first. I pull back from work when needed to make sure my family is doing well. I think working is amazing and I am so grateful to have such an amazing career.  But I want to make sure women reading this know that the whole boss babe image is a lie. Motherhood and having a supportive husband are more fulfilling than anything else. Don’t give that up for a job that doesn’t hug you when you get home. And what good is building an empire if you have no one to give it to when you go?

11. Your Instagram handle “The Model Surgeon” suggests a unique blend of aesthetics and surgical skill. How do you see the intersection between aesthetics and medicine evolving in the coming years?

We are already seeing a blend with the semiglutide trend. Putting patients on weight loss medications has been a great help to get patients ready physically for aesthetic treatments. For example, someone wanting a lot of liposuction may only need a little bit after weight loss. But as we age, insulin resistance makes it a lot harder to lose weight. Medications like ozempic and mounjaro have helped a lot of my patients.

12. Your work involves empowering individuals through aesthetic enhancement. How do you address the balance between personal empowerment and promoting a healthy body image in the age of social media?

Most of my patients are already empowered. They just need help with a little something that diet and exercise haven’t been able to resolve. What you put out on social media is what you attract. I put out empowerment so I attract empowered patients.

13. What would you say to our readers, who would like to see you as a model?

Being a role model means maintaining integrity, strong core values, and staying true to yourself. We can all be role models.

Christiana was born in London, raised in Eastern Europe, and moved back to the UK to attend boarding school at the age of 13. She graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Business Management and has recently completed a Master’s in Entrepreneurship at King’s College London, by the age of 22. Alongside her academic pursuits, she ventured into modelling, where she gained valuable industry insights and earned her first income, which she used to invest in her own swimwear brand, “Dear Lover.” Christiana is in a relationship with her long term partner who has encouraged and supported her through all her pursuits.

1. Can you share with us the inspiration behind starting your swimwear brand, “Dear Lover” and how your academic background in Business Management and Entrepreneurship played a role in this venture?

I have dedicated six years of my academic journey to study Business (and Entrepreneurship), beginning from my A-levels to the completion of my Masters degree. While my educational background laid the foundation for my entrepreneurial venture, the true wealth of knowledge came from my hands-on experience when I started my business. The practical lessons I gained from starting a business from scratch were significantly different from what I had learned in the classroom.

The driving force behind the creation of my brand ‘Dear Lover’, was a strong desire to create something uniquely my own. In an industry where many brands offer extremely affordable swimwear, often at the cost of poor labour conditions as well as poor product quality, I aimed to provide an alternative, a more-affordable luxury piece. Something timeless and durable that could be worn summer after summer. My vision was to cultivate a loyal customer base, clients who would return to us season after season, and I am proud to say that this has come to be true.

2. You’ve had a diverse upbringing, from London to Eastern Europe. How has this multicultural background influenced your approach to fashion and entrepreneurship? **

I consider myself incredibly fortunate to have the best of both worlds, as I spend a lot of time in both London and Bulgaria. Moving to the UK on my own at a very young age instilled in me a strong sense of discipline as well as determination, helping me pursue all of my goals down the line.

Bulgaria has been the foundation of everything I undertake, as it’s where my brand is based and manufactured, and also where my first modelling agency is based. I then got scouted by a modelling agency in London and also began receiving Dear Lover orders from the UK. Today, the UK serves as an integral part of my business, accounting for over 20% of our orders.

3. Transitioning from modeling to running your own swimwear brand is quite a leap. Can you tell us about the key lessons or insights you gained from your modeling career that helped you succeed in the fashion industry?

Modelling has been a significant part of my career as it helped me earn income that I used as an investment to launch Dear Lover. However, throughout my modelling career I have also gained valuable insights that have given me the courage and confidence to launch. I began to understand a lot of insights on marketing during photoshoots for other brands.  Meeting amazing photographers during modelling shoots that have now become trusted partners in photographing images for my own brand.

4. What are the core values or messages you aim to convey through “Dear Lover,” and how do you believe they resonate with your target audience?

Our clients are always keeping themselves well-informed regarding the latest trends, but they also value classic and timeless pieces. They aren’t merely seeking the most affordable option, rather, they understand the value of investing in their swimwear and are conscious of the ethical aspects of their purchases. Dear Lover’s mission is to make women feel unique, elegant, luxurious. I believe women deserve to indulge in the feeling of sophistication through wearing high quality and unique pieces on their body.

Our best sellers, ‘Baby Pink’ and ‘Azure Blue’, represent the desire of women to embrace individuality and make a statement. While Dear Lover does offer a selection of timeless classics including white, nude and black, we are also proud to offer a range of exceptionally unique colours such as ‘Amethyst Purple’ and ‘Emerald Green’.

5. Balancing academics, modelling, and running a business at such a young age is impressive. Could you share some strategies or tips for time management and maintaining focus on your goals?

I began each of my endeavours one by one. Of course, my academics have always been my priority. I always knew I wanted to model, but I waited until I was settled into university before taking modelling seriously. During my final year of university, I dedicated my spare time planning my start up and testing designs and materials, allowing me to launch just before graduating my bachelors before I began my Masters.

I believe in the importance of immediate action once you get an idea in your mind. Nothing happens overnight and the first step always seems difficult until it’s done. Once the initial hurdle is conquered, everything that follows is smooth and simple. I personally don’t view any of my endeavours as “hard work” because I find them enjoyable. You need to like what you do.

Managing time effectively doesn’t necessarily require any complex strategies. I believe the best way to manage your time is to identify your priorities. Make a list of what you want to achieve and the steps you will take to get there.

6. Your relationship with your long-term partner seems to be a source of support and encouragement. How has their involvement influenced your journey in entrepreneurship and fashion?

I will forever be thankful to my partner for his supporting me through everything I do. He is a constant source of motivation and encouragement as well as reassurance. He has encouraged me to go after my goals and has deeply inspired me to leave my comfort zone. His support has been extremely appreciated throughout the last three years.

7.  In today’s digital age, online presence is crucial for brand success. What role has social media played in growing “Dear Lover.” and do you have any advice for aspiring entrepreneurs on effective online branding?

Social media has become an integral part of today’s society. I view social media as business. When it comes to launching and running a business, I can’t envision myself doing it without the power of social media. As we are living in a digital age, we must make the most out of it and use it to our advantage. Establishing your own presence on social media also means you can effectively reach and engage with a broader audience and potential clients.

Posting quality content consistently is the key to success in regards to social media marketing, however, this is not always as simple as it sounds. I have used Instagram Ads, as well as my own personal Instagram account in order to boost brand awareness and sales.

8. As a woman entrepreneur, what challenges have you faced in the fashion industry, and how have you overcome them?

I believe the biggest challenge was overcoming procrastination and actually going out and doing what I said I would do. I am constantly communicating with customers and trying to improve our products weekly based on the feedback we have received. Dear Lover swimwear has improved in quality drastically since the launch of the brand. We are always trying to find ways to improve.

9. Can you tell us about a particular moment or achievement in your career that you are most proud of and why it stands out to you?

Every time I get a new order notification is a moment of achievement for me, because it means someone trust me and trusts what I have created. Loyal customers also give me the confidence that they truly like my brand. Alongside Dear Lover, I have had some amazing modelling opportunities that I am very lucky to be a part of.

10. You’ve made remarkable strides in your career at a young age. What are your future goals and aspirations for both “Dear Lover” and your personal journey in entrepreneurship and fashion?

I am actively in the phase of testing out various concepts for Dear Lover, given the numerous ideas I have. Although swimwear will always be the core of Dear Lover, we are currently looking at exploring new opportunities for the brand.

Regarding my personal journey up to the age of 22, I am very happy with how far I’ve come. I am yet to graduate in the next couple of months and I am excited and open to see what life has to offer.

The Queen archetype is a powerful and regal archetype that represents a woman’s ability to lead, rule, and take control of her life. When we embody our Queen archetype, we tap into our inner strength and wisdom, allowing us to live a life of purpose and fulfillment.

If you’re a woman who is either in or desiring a beautiful loving relationship with a healthy masculine partner, or if you’re a business owner, a coach, or a content creator, you need to know about the Queen archetype and how to embody this energy in your daily life. Embodying this energy will change how you show up, how you interact with others and what you attract to your life.

What Is An Archetype?

An archetype is a universal symbol representing specific behavior patterns, emotions, and thoughts, Carl Jung pioneered the use of archetypes in psychology. Archetypes are the building blocks of our personalities and are found in literature, art, music, mythology, and religion across all cultures. They are present in our own lives as well.

There are many feminine archetypes (such as Maiden, Mother, Wild Woman, Wise Woman and so on) and also masculine archetypes (such a King, Warrior, Magician and Lover).

What Is The Queen Archetype?

Firstly, let’s dive into what the Queen archetype represents.

The Queen archetype is one that is often misunderstood – often represented as villains in Disney movies or passive, weak figures in comparison to a King. The Queen archetype embodies grace, power, and wisdom, and she commands respect from those around her. The Queen archetype is not limited to actual monarchs, but it can also represent any woman who is confident in herself and takes control of her life. There’s more to this archetype than meets the eye so let’s more deeply explore what the Queen archetype is and how to embody it in our daily lives.

The Queen Archetype

The Queen is an archetype that symbolizes a woman who has gained control of her own life, has a voice and uses it to make herself heard. She is unafraid to speak up for herself, knowing that she deserves what she wants and needs. She is nurturing, patient and fierce when it comes to protecting her loved ones.

The Queen archetype can be found throughout history in many different cultures across the globe.

The Queen can be both nurturing and protective, making her an excellent role model. She inspires others through her passion, strength of character, and good judgment; as such, followers will stick around longer than they would under another type of leadership style.

The Queen is an archetype of leadership, but not domination, she is a nurturer but doesn’t let others take advantage of her, she teaches others, but does not try to control them, and she listens carefully to others’ opinions. The Queen archetype can teach you about being more in touch with your feminine power:

  • She knows how to speak up for herself without being aggressive or rude.
  • She knows how to set boundaries with others without being defensive.
  • She has an innate sense of intuition that helps her navigate situations effectively.

It’s important to note that with every archetype, there is a healthy side and a shadow side. In fairy tales, and even in our own lives, shadow Queens are mean, wicked, and evil. Note that these are not real Queens. The Queen has REMEMBERED WHO SHE IS and has come home to her body. Let’s explore the differences between a shadow Queen and a healthy Queen.

Shadow Queen

  • Unloving
  • Controlling
  • Cold
  • Lonely
  • Vengeful
  • Angry
  • Judgemental

Healthy Queen

  • Leader
  • Powerful
  • Sovereign
  • Aligned with herself and life
  • Brave
  • Inspires others
  • Leads with her heart
  • Say what they mean
  • Speaks her truth
  • Takes full personal responsibility

Here are five tips for embodying your Queen archetype:

Embrace your power

The first step to embodying your Queen archetype is to embrace your power. Know that you have the ability to take control of your life and create the reality you want. This can be as simple as setting boundaries with others, making decisions that align with your values, or speaking up for what you believe in. Get curious about what makes you feel powerful and what makes you feel powerless (a great journal prompt) and do more of the things that make you feel powerful.

Cultivate self awareness

To embody your Queen archetype, it’s important to cultivate self-awareness. Take time to reflect on your thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. Notice what patterns you fall into and be willing to make changes when necessary. A great way to do this is through journaling or working with a coach to support you. Question everything, become curious about why you think, act and behave in certain ways and soon you’ll notice deeper levels of self-awareness.

Set high standards

The Queen archetype sets high standards for herself and those around her. This means having a clear vision for what you want to achieve and how you want to feel, and being committed to excellence in everything you do. It also means holding yourself and others accountable for their actions.

Practice self-care

The Queen archetype knows the importance of self-care. Take time to prioritize your physical, emotional, mental and energetic well-being. It starts with the basics of getting enough sleep, moving your body, and nourishing yourself with nutritious foods. Take it a level deeper by supporting yourself on an emotional level by practicing breathworj and regulating your nervous system.

Lead with compassion

Finally, the Queen archetype leads with compassion. She understands that true leadership is not about control or domination, but rather about empowering others to reach their full potential. This means being kind, empathetic, and understanding toward others, while still maintaining your own boundaries and standards. A great way to start leading with compassion is to embody love as you lead and make decisions. Often our ego tries to take over, and that’s when those shadow elements show up, so instead ask yourself “how would love and compassion show up at this moment?” and then take that action.

In conclusion, the Queen archetype is a powerful and regal archetype that represents a woman’s ability to lead, rule, and take control of her life. By embracing your power, cultivating self-awareness, setting high standards, practicing self-care, and leading with compassion, you can embody your Queen archetype and live a life of purpose and fulfillment. This archetype isn’t reserved for those born into royalty; we all have the power within ourselves to be a Queen! So go ahead, channel your inner Queen as you lead yourself in your life and watch how life starts to shift as you show up in this beautiful and powerful energy.

‘Betsy English is a multifaceted young woman from London, UK. As a professional actress from the age of 10,  Betsy’s career has already boasted so many amazing moments. From carrying a 26 episode comedy series as the lead actress, filling up one of the biggest arena’s in the North of England for her theatrical debut, to showcasing and performing her musical talents at world famous Wembley Stadium all whilst filming multiple movies, television and commercials. She has done it all and it doesn’t stop there. Betsy has a loyal social media following who follow her acting ventures and trend-setting fashion (she’s worked and created content for the fashion’s elite such as Vivienne Westwood, Diesel, Guess to name a few). Betsy is also an accomplished fashion designer and has two fashion labels under her belt. It’s safe to say she is a busy woman! And this year is about to get even more exciting for her as she’s in talks as the lead actress for a big Disney remake AND her film Sky Monster in which she plays lead character Cindy, is set to release across cinemas worldwide this September’.

Do EVERYTHING you think you’re good at

– Betsy English

1. Did you like acting since childhood?

I knew I wanted to be an actress from the age of 5! My first lead performance was playing Annie in Brighton’s Hay Market Theatre aged 7.

2. When did you decided that you want to become an actor?

I knew I wanted to take up acting professionally when I had a small role in Nicholas Cage’s Season of The Witch. I was 12 and it was my first time being on a major film set and I loved it.

3. How is your experience working in the industry so far?

Positive! I’m lucky to say that I haven’t had any negative experiences. Obviously this industry is hard and competitive. Getting a good role is like winning the lottery but it’s not impossible and I’m grateful I’ve had lots of amazing opportunities already at my young age.

4. Which role that you have played you like the most?

I loved my role of Daisy in the Tracey Ullman Show – simply because I was working alongside Tracey Ullman who is simply iconic and one of the best comedic actresses there’s ever been. I played her daughter and it was so inspiring watching her work. She is a method actress and doesn’t break whatever character she’s playing at all. It was fascinating. I also loved my role in Hulu’s Four Weddings because I played a character so far from who I am.

5. What message would you want to give to your fans?

First of all, thank you to anyone who’s inspired by what I do. Don’t ever listen to anyone who says you can’t do it all. Because you can.  Do EVERYTHING you think you’re good at.

6. What, according to you, is the best part of your work?

The best part of my work is the feeling when you find out you have got the role. I put a lot of effort into my castings, it’s amazing when you know all your hard work has paid off. It’s a really exciting feeling.

7. Tell us about the toughest part of your work?

And why do you think it is tough for you? The toughest part of my work is rejection. Sometimes you really bond with a role you are auditioning for and then it goes to someone else..

8. The entertainment industry is said to be full of stress and pressure, what do you do to tackle the pressure that comes with your work?

It is. It’s true. Haha! I have convinced myself that our path is already mapped out. This makes me feel better as I know whatever happens is just part of the process and meant to be happening. No pressure.

9. So, you are a fashion designer as well, how can you manage doing both acting & fashion designing?

I have been fashion designing for years. I’m fast! I take great pride in multitasking. There’s always time to do something you love. I also drink a lot of coffee haha.

10. You told us that you worked and created content for the fashion’s elite such as Vivienne Westwood, Diesel… etc, how is working with them and how does that make you feel?

It’s very flattering when brands I’ve idolised want to work with me. I feel extremely lucky and the excitement never gets old! I’d love to work with Chanel one day. That’s my favourite brand of all time.

11. What according to you is a favorite part of being a fashion designer?

The initial stages of designing a collection is my favourite part. The world is your oyster – you can go in ANY direction when it’s your own brand and it’s so exciting. I also love the part when you see the first samples of the items you’ve designed. Seeing something you’ve sketched come to life is magical.

12. What skills according to you are necessary for a successful fashion designer?

To start with you need decent sketching skills to convey what you’re trying to design. This will get better with practise. The more you do it the better you get.

13. According to you, who is the most stylish celebrity?

Tough question! I love model Elsa Hosk’s simple yet chic style. Everything she wears is perfect.

14. Where do you see yourself in the next 10 years?

Doing more movies and television! And hopefully with a fashion brand for babies!! I’ve always wanted to do that

By Brittney Megann (CEO & Head Socialista of Socials & Stilettos)

If you are a busy CEO like me, you already know that work-life balance is a struggle and that struggle is REAL.

My name is Brittney Megann and I am the CEO & Head Socialista of Socials & Stilettos, a boutique social media, marketing, and PR agency based in Toronto, Ontario. Over the past 7 years of entrepreneurship, I have struggled quite a bit with the whole work/life balance thing. So much so, that there was even a time that I lost myself along the way.

I get it, we’re ambitious and driven women surrounded by a world that screams “hustle mode” and “you can sleep when you’re dead”, but what kind of a life is that? I don’t know about you, but when I signed up for this whole entrepreneurship thing, I did it so that I can live a better life. One full of freedom and the ability to do what felt best for me and my body!

The thing about entrepreneurship is that nobody tells you when to turn off your computer. Nobody gives you permission to give yourself a little bit of grace & do the things you love to do.

So guess what girlfriend, today I’m going to share with you some of my BIGGEST lifestyle hacks for the busy CEOs and entrepreneurs just like me so that you can take back control of your life & start reaping all of the juicy benefits of being a CEO has to offer. Are you ready? Let’s jump in!

#1 Set Your Office Hours

This was a huge struggle for me in the beginning, especially being the workaholic that I am. I remember thinking “If I don’t answer this Instagram DM or website inquiry right away, I’m going to lose out on this client”…

Girlfriend, let me tell you. Boundaries are crucial when it comes to work-life balance and your mental health. People don’t expect you to drop everything and reply right away, and I can promise you that the message/email inquiry will be there tomorrow.

Setting yourself up with “office hours” and making them crystal clear with your clients & team is one of the best ways to ensure you are giving yourself enough time off to decompress and “reset” after each work day.

#2 Move Your Body

This one is huge, especially for the CEOs who sit at a desk all day. Whether you are somebody who loves pilates or heavy lifting, finding something that gets your body moving is huge for not only your mental health but your physical health too. Even if it’s just 15-20 minutes, take that time for yourself!

As my spirit animal Elle Woods would say “Exercise gives you endorphins, and endorphins make you happy. Happy people just don’t kill their husbands, they just don’t.”.

#3 Time Blocking

This one is HUGE! Especially if you find yourself with a never-ending “to-do” list like me. Whether you are someone who loves a traditional pen-and-paper style planner or a digital calendar type of girl, time blocking is one of the best ways to ensure you are being as productive as you possibly can throughout the day!

If you haven’t heard of time blocking before, it’s essentially scheduling blocks of time in your calendar to work on tasks listed on your to-do list. Each week, I like to set a 10-minute timer and brain-dump everything that I need to work on for the week. Once the timer goes off, I go ahead and schedule each of my tasks in their own little time blocks on my google calendar. My biggest tip is to set reminders/alerts for yourself so that you actually stick to each task.

It will take a little getting used to, but trust me when I say… It’s a game-changer!

#4 Staying Hydrated & Nourishing Your Body

When things are crazy busy, it can be so easy to fall into the “convenience” trap. For me, that means ordering Uber Eats or Skip The Dishes for a week straight. Sometimes that even looks like forgetting to hydrate or stop for lunch!

There’s a saying “You can’t pour from an empty cup” and it couldn’t be truer! When you neglect taking care of your body in even the simplest ways, you will find yourself struggling to collect your thoughts and feel like you aren’t ever fully yourself throughout the day.

Socialista Tip: Grab yourself a cute tumbler and carve some time out to prep your meals for the week! I don’t know what it is, but I find that I drink so much more water when I have a clear tumbler and a straw. Maybe it’s the psychology behind seeing it, I have no idea. But trust me when I say IT WORKS!

#5 Take Time For Yourself

Even if it’s just 30 minutes to do your makeup in the morning or a little bubble bath with your favourite essential oils at night. Take the time to do the things you love and leave you feeling good about yourself.

If you find yourself feeling like you don’t know who you are because work has just taken over your entire life, I have a tip for you! Create a Pinterest board and look for things that make you excited. What images are you drawn towards? Maybe it’s photos of nail inspo or recipes. Whatever you find yourself pinning & saving to your boards are most likely things you are passionate about in some way, shape, or form. Take some time to romanticize your life with those things and see what makes your cup feel full, then do more of it!

When it comes to being a busy CEO, time is of the essence and I get it… we only have 24 hours in a day. But here’s the thing, YOU need to come first. If you aren’t filling up your cup, nobody else will. To be the best CEO you can be, you have to put yourself first. Trust me when I say, your business will thank you later.

Hannah is the author of the book, The Truth About Broken: The Unfixed Version of Self-Love.

Creating art through her words and content in hopes to empower and inspire. In 2016, Hannah came forward with her diagnosis of bipolar disorder and published her blog: halfway2hannah.com covering a range of mental health topics.

In her first book, The Truth About Broken: The Unfixed Version of Self-Love, Hannah Blum redefines what it means to love yourself and takes readers on an unforgettable journey towards embracing what makes them different. It’s self-love from the perspective of someone living with a mental illness in a society that has labeled her and others as broken. A collection of captivating true stories that will never leave you after reading. Hannah features her quotes and poetry that have gained global attention across social media and online platforms in the book. This is not your typical self-love book. If you are struggling with loving yourself, regardless if you have a mental illness, this book is for you.

1)  When did you first realize you wanted to be a writer?

The dream to be a writer has always been there, as far back as I can remember. As a child and teen, my mind was always racing with stories, and I’d imagine them coming to life at some point on paper. I think when I first really thought of it as a potential career was when I went back to College.

2)  What writers did you enjoy reading as a child?

I was diagnosed with a learning disability early on, and reading was a challenge throughout my childhood. It was not until middle school that I could fully retain what was written on pages. I didn’t get to experience the beauty of books until I was much older.

3)  What inspired you to start writing?

I’ve always loved storytelling; to me, words can unlock the most vulnerable parts of people.

4) Have you always wanted to be a writer?

Yes, I have always wanted to be a writer, but I did not think it was possible when I was younger. There is this pretentious academic vibe that unfortunately accompanies the literature world. It felt to me that to be a writer, you needed to be academically gifted in literature through schooling.

5) What do you like to do when you’re not writing?

I am always writing because I love it so much, but a lot of what I write requires me to explore different places and people. I spend much time going to local coffee shops and places around town. I love going to museums and traveling. Also, I collect vintage love letters and love using my camera to create.

6) Have you ever gotten writer’s block?

Yes, I have, and it is beyond frustrating. The word I would use to describe writer’s block is emptiness.

7) Do you hear from your readers much? What kinds of things do they say?

Yes, I am so fortunate to hear from readers often via social media and email. They usually voice parts of their own story relating to my writing, which I love most. My community, readers, and supporters are why I can do what I do.

8) Do you show your work in progress to anyone?

Very rarely. I am writing my second book, and no one outside of my editor has seen it. I used to rely on other people’s approval because of my deep insecurities, but I decided to seek validation no longer because it was affecting my work. I see why writers and artists must be careful about wanting others to validate their work. It shapes how you write, and you become dependent on others’ opinions of your creations.

9) How did you manage to fit writing in with other demands on your time? Are you good at managing your time?

Every writer is different in how they work. I know many have specific times when they work on writing and are more routine. For me, it comes in and out throughout the day. I keep a notepad on me.

10) You are the author of “The Truth About Broken: The Unfixed Version of Self-Love.” How did you come up with the title to your book?

The word broken is always something I felt defined me growing up, especially after being diagnosed with bipolar. I wanted to take that word and give it meaning, redefine it as a positive characteristic versus a negative one. I wanted to talk about self-love in a different light, not fixing yourself but falling in love with the parts of yourself you’ve been trying to fix. One day I was walking around a lake close to home, and it popped into my head.

11) What is the most surprising thing you discovered while writing your book?

I think there was much reliving the past and going on that journey again. I was not surprised by anything, but my dedication and commitment to the book surprised me in a good way. I saw that this was something I wanted to dedicate my life too.

12) Your quotes and poetry have gained global attention across social media and online platforms. What is the secret of this?

It’s hard work and determination. It’s writing from your heart, being unafraid to be bold. You don’t have to have a following to consider yourself a writer. Some of the best writers do not engage in social media, which is essential to remember.

13)  You are also a mental illness activist, can you tell us more about it?

Activism is the foundation of my art, and my community of people with mental illness are my muses. When I was in the mental hospital at 20 years old, I saw how patients were treated, and when I left, I knew I had to speak up. So many writers struggle with mental illness, and I want there to be words spoken directly to those living with conditions. In my next book, I directly confront stigma very boldly. I want the world to see a different side of mental illness, our voices are suppressed, and if I can turn the volume up through writing and speaking up, I’ll spend my life doing that. It’s about empowering those living with mental illness and fighting for justice.

14) Is writing your full-time career? Or would you like it to be?

For the most part, writing is my full-time career; however, it takes a very long time for it to provide a stable income. I also work for a creative agency, Snow Media, alongside my best friend, a profound artist. I work there as a creative director and can create for others outside of myself. It is rooted in creativity and producing inspirational media content.

15) How do you deal with the emotional impact of a book (on yourself) as you are writing the story?

I turn the traumatic experiences in my life into a story, and writing is how I understand those parts of my life. Writing is healing for me, and knowing that the stories are written with purpose eases any pain I feel about it.

16) Where do you get your inspiration?

When people ask me how do you write, my response is–I listen. I find inspiration by exploring unfamiliar people and places. I am an observer, and when I am with people, I connect and engage with them. Also, reading fictional novels has always inspired my imagination.

17) Are you working on anything at the present you would like to share with ou readers?

Yes! In 2023, after years of writing it, I am finally releasing my second book, “Oh Mind, Where Have You Gone Today?” It is a collection of poetry, essays, and stories.

18) How many plot ideas are just waiting to be written? Can you tell us about one?

My new book, Oh Mind Where Have You Gone Today, is coming out in 2023. It started when I began isolating myself, and it is a book that is not limited in topics. Essays and poetry that explore going both inward and outward. After that, I will begin writing fiction books and release my children’s book!

19) Share something your readers wouldn’t know about you.

Most people don’t know I have no academic literature background—my past regarding becoming a writer. I did not graduate college with any degree in English or literature. When I was a senior in high school, I voiced privately that I wanted to become a professional writer, and she was enraged by it. She told me writing was for academic intellectuals, not mediocre literature students. I learned how to write by reading books. I did it on my own because the condescending nature of the literary environment is very threatened by people who do not have some profound academic career.

20) Can you give any advice to someone wanting to write and publish poetry?

It begins with listening to yourself and to other people’s stories, including pain. I have sat in support groups where I am not a participant but a listener.  For example, I do not struggle with addiction, but I have gone to AA meetings where I was allowed to join to give support to others. I talk to random people in random places. Unlocking empathy and curiosity is key to writing. Also, just write. Pour onto paper, and let go of what defines a “good writer.” Do not create art seeking the approval of others.
